    1. Hello – Thank you! I’m so pleased you enjoyed Flirty Dancing. Love Bomb, Betty’s story, is out in March and I’ve nearly finished book 3…just a few thousand words to go! x Jen

    1. Hi Skye! Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply to you. I’m still getting the hang of how this website works! I’m really pleased that you enjoyed ‘Flirty Dancing’. Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know.

  1. Hi jenny I just finished flirty dancing and am SOOOO happy that it’s not the end! I read it for book buzz and literally half the class chose it.

    1. Hi Eden – Didn’t I meet you? I’m sure I met an Eden at Presdales. I had such a brilliant time at your school. It was probably one of my favourite school visits. I’m so pleased that you like my books. It means the world to me and thank you for taking the time to get in touch! xx Jenny

    1. Hi Steph
I wrote them so they can be read in any order, but you might get a bit more out of them if you read them in order – Flirty Dancing, Love Bomb, Sunkissed, Star Struck – because the girls grow up over the course of the books. Hope this helps! x Jen

    1. Hi Natalie Of course I remember you and I’m so sorry it’s taken me a while to reply, but I don’t check my website messages every day. Obviously I think it’s an excellent idea to become a writer, then you can make anything you want to happen, happen…if that makes sense! I love having an idea in my head, making it grow and then making it ‘come alive’when I write it down. The best feeling ever!! My favourite writers are, like you, Louise Rennison and Jacqueline Wilson, in fact, when I wrote my books I wanted to have stories as gripping as JW’s and make them funny like LR’s, I’ll let you decide if I come close! I love the other author’s you mention, although I haven’t read any Nicci Cloke so I’ll have to get one of her’s asap. So how are you getting on? Writing lots, I hope, and loving being at the start of your writing adventure. Thank you for taking the time to write to me, and for writing such a lovely message. I really appreciate it, and if I’m ever back at your school and I’d love to see your writing. I’m glad my books have made you happy, that’s pretty much why I wrote them. I think my favourite ever book when I was your age was a book called ‘A Summer to Die’ by Lois Lowry and it’s one of the few books I’ve read lots and lots of times. It’s funny when a book really gets to you, isn’t it? There’s this scene in A Summer to Die where she shells peas and I have never, ever forgotten it. It really touched me. Keep in touch, Natalie, xxx Jenny

  3. Hi Jenny, I’ve read all your books, and I loved all of them!! Can’t wait to read all about Hoshi’s story !! Love you and your writing.
    Lots of love,
    Your biggest fan xx

  5. Hi Jenny,
I just finished reading Stargazing for Beginners and I loved it. Is Meg going to be in Truly Wildly Deeply? And is it really written about Annie??!!!

    1. Hi Stell, Meg isn’t actually in Truly Wildly Deeply, but she is mentioned, and yes, it is about Annie. It’s about Annie starting sixth form and having a big adventure! Thank you so much for your message. It’s really made my day! xx Jenny

  6. Are you going to be doing another book in the ladybirds series to follow on from starstuck? I’d love to see one from hoshis point of view and see her and pearl together as well as all the other girls and their boyfriends! Starstruck is my fave book in the series and the ladybirds are amazing so I really hope you do a 5th

    1. Hi Sohpie – I would love to write another book in the Ladybird series and I’ve actually planned one (it’s about the Ladybird’s organising their Year 11 prom!) and they are all in it…but, I’m afraid, at the moment, I’m working on other books. You never know though! If it ever happens I’ll let you know and thank you for this lovely message! xxx Jenny

  7. Hey Jenny,
I hope you still remember me though its been a while 😂💋
ive been thinking about your books recently and how much i enjoyed them. When i seem to really like a book i agree to read it every year at the first time i ever read it. And guess what? you just made it onto my list of anniversaries. It also includes the hetty feather series (Jacqueline Wilson) and a series of unfortunate events (lemony snicket)😂😂
I wonder if you have read any Celia Ahern i strongly suggest flawed🤩😎😊
your new book is coming out today!(though you already know obviously) I’ll really look forward to reading it. I hope you do remember me ( That crazy girl at Lyndon who insisted on having your autograph and a picture x😅😋)
You still remain one of my favorite authors x
    Natalie x

    1. Hi Natalie – I do remember you and I’m so sorry it’s taken me ages to reply. I only saw this big group of messages today. I must have looked so rude!! Anyway, I’m chuffed to bits to make it on to your anniversary reading list – I’m with some awesome company! I haven’t read ‘Flawed’ but I’ll definitely give it a go after your recommendation. Keep being crazy – crazy girls will rule the world one day!! xx Jenny

      1. Hi. My name is Jacob, I’m 11 and I’ve loved reading The Land of Roar. I’m so glad I chose it from the school library, it was a great choice! I’m so into it, I don’t want it to end! How many more ‘Roar’ books are you planning to write? I’m so looking forward to the next book!

      2. Wow – what a lovely message to get. Thank you, Jacob! I’m planning to write 3 Roar books (at the moment). I’ve just finished the second, Return to Roar, and that should be published in June. I really hope you read both of them! Jenny

  8. Hi Jenny. I am Rita from Australia and I am 54 years old and I enjoy reading your books ! I likr to re-read books or re-watch movies cause I always get something new from them. Just the other day I finished re-reading “Stargazing for Beginners”. I love how you celebrate younger women’s inner qualities. Meg’s a smart girl, Annie has a big heart and Rose is sweet natured. I am thinking that Bella in her own way was reaching out to Meg and trying to include her in conversations. Ok. For a couple of 15 year olds! And I love how you show the power of a great high school teacher. Many of my high school teachers were the reason I went into teaching. I am an early childhood teacher. Thanks for your great stories, no matter what age we are. ! ***

    1. Hi Rita what a treat for me to get a message all the way from Australia and I’m so pleased that you thought Stargazing for Beginners was worth a second read. I think that is high praise indeed! I love your description of the girls and their friendships with each other – you clearly ‘got’ them all. I was a teacher too and I agree, our own teachers can have such a big impact on us. Thank you again for taking the time to write to me xx Jenny

  9. Hi Jenny! My name is Hayley and I just read ‘The land of Roar’ and now it’s my favorite book ever! I love it and i was so sad when t was over I bought the second book and I CANT WAIT TO ReAD IT!

    1. Hi Hayley well that’s just the best news an author can receive! Thank you for taking the time to tell me and I hope you enjoy your return trip to Roar. I know what you mean about feeling sad when a book is over… Don’t worry. The adventure continues! xx Jenny

  10. Hi,
My 11yo son and I have been reading your Roar books together and he absolutely loves them 🙂
They’ve really helped remind him how much fun reading can be, which in turn helps me get him off the screens a bit more often!
Thanks and all the best for the future,

  11. hi, jenny i’ve finished the book stargazing for beginners. And I LOVED IT! I was wondering is there any other book that meg clark is in?

    1. Hi Meg (how brilliant is that?!) I’m so happy that a Meg has read and enjoyed Stargazing for Beginners. I can’t tell you how much I loved writing that book so to hear that you loved it to means the world to me. The book I wrote after this – Truly Wildly Deeply is all about Meg’s friend, Annie, so you might like to read that. So far I haven’t written a sequel, but I do imagine in my head what will happen to the characters next. Meg has a magical life! Thank you so much for taking the time to get in touch. xx Jenny

    1. Hi Amanda, It’s brilliant to hear that your son likes the Roar books, and congratulations on having such a fearless five year old!! I’ll pass on your comments to my publisher. I do have an idea for a fourth book so you never know! xx
